Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.
During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey.
President Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction that Turkey is the first country to recognize independence, establish diplomatic relations and open an embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
“Turkey is a brotherly state for us, a reliable friend and a time-tested partner. Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to relations with Turkey,” Sadyr Zhaparov said.
In turn, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that in 2021, 10 years have passed since the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations were given the status of a strategic partnership.
In this regard, he proposed to focus mutual efforts on the implementation of the agreements reached following the meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation in June 2021.
The Turkish leader expressed his intention to visit Kyrgyzstan to participate in the next meeting of the Council in 2022.
