Bishkek, June 24, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Friday Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop.
An exchange of views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation was held, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said.
Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that the Kyrgyz and Turkish peoples have common values in culture and traditions
"We are always ready to develop our bilateral relations," he said.
The president of Kyrgyzstan reminded that the next World Nomad Games will be held in the Turkish city of Iznik in autumn, noting that Kyrgyzstan intends to participate in them, and also expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to assist in organizational matters.
Mustafa Shentop noted that he has arrived in Kyrgyzstan as the head of the parliamentary delegation to the XI plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA), where a number of topical issues will be discussed.
The speaker of the Turkish National Assembly stressed that the cooperation with Kyrgyzstan is developing at a good pace, including in the trade and economic direction.
He expressed the readiness of the Turkish Parliament to contribute to increasing joint cooperation between the countries.
