President Zhaparov meets with Kyrgyzstanis residing in Russia's Moscow

"My goal is to solve the existing problems of our people, to provide jobs and a decent life for all citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to create favorable conditions for the return of compatriots working abroad to their homeland," said Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov on Wednesday at a meeting with citizens of Kyrgyzstan living in Russia.

President Zhaparov said his first foreign visit as the head of state was paid to Russia because the countries are linked by the historical and cultural affinity and old friendly ties, his press service said.

The Kyrgyz leader noted the common interests of the two countries affect political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and many other areas.

He told Kyrgyzstanis about the results of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the issues of Kyrgyz workers in Russia were also discussed.

Sadyr Zhaparov also informed an agreement on pensions of workers of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) entered into force on Jan. 1, 2021 and from January 2022 it will be possible to apply for a pension while in Russia.

The president added the length of service in other EEAEU ountries is also taken into account and the system of documents and certificates are integrated between the countries of the Union.

During his speech, the head of the state focused on the existing problems of migration registration, which arise due to the refusal of homeowners to register foreigners in order to evade taxes.
