Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2021. / Kabar /. My task is to ensure the fairness of the upcoming parliamentary elections, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov told speaking at the Republican meeting of the heads of local self-government bodies and local state administrations.
The president noted that since the country's independence, various election methods have been used. “No one has forgotten about the illegal elections in October 2020, about the open use of administrative resources at the local level and the bribery of voters. The latest elections should be a lesson for all of us! We must all ensure fair elections,” he said.
In this connection, Zhaparov called on all responsible officials to clearly fulfill their duties and not break the law.
“My task is to ensure the fairness of the upcoming elections! From now on, all elections will be fair. And for this I will do my best,” the president said.
The head of state called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security and other relevant state bodies to strengthen public control and take other effective measures to prevent such incidents.
