Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Monday Minister of Investment Almambet Shykmamatov.
The Kyrgyz leader heard the information about the current activities of the ministry and measures taken to improve the investment attractiveness and increase the inflow of foreign investments into the economy of Kyrgyzstan, his press service reported.
Thus, in the first half of 2021, the inflow of foreign direct investments increased by 95.4%. Currently, 5 projects worth USD 323, 5 million are being supported. Two projects in the amount of USD 75 million are launched this year.
The Ministry of Investment is working to reform the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is developing a new version of the Law on Investment, launched the Kyrgyz-Uzbek and Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Funds and more.
Along with this, Almambet Shykmamatov announced his intention to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, in connection with which he resigned from his post as minister of investment.
Sadyr Zhaparov expressed his readiness to accept Shykmamatov's resignation and thanked him for his work.
