Bishkek, July 3, 2023. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.
The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Sadyr Zhaparov, taking into account that Malaysia is one of the main partners of Kyrgyzstan in Southeast Asia, noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to further strengthening of political dialogue between the two countries and stressed the need to increase its level.

The president expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to work together to create favorable conditions for increasing trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia, outlining the favorable conditions created in the country for foreign investment. In particular, he noted the bilateral potential in areas such as energy, tourism, agriculture and information technology.
Taking the opportunity, he invited the King of Malaysia Abdullah Ahmad Shah and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Zambry Abdul Kadir thanked the head of state for the warm welcome and conveyed words of welcome on behalf of Prime Minister of Malaysia.
He stressed the commitment of his country's leadership to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, education and tourism.

The Malaysian minister noted with satisfaction that today's meeting with the head of state and his official visit will give impetus to strengthening and enhancing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan.
The two sides indicated a mutual willingness to deepen and expand strategic relations between the countries, taking into account all the necessary tools for bilateral cooperation.
