President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Wednesday Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Li Qiang, who arrived in the country for his first official visit to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized with satisfaction the observed intensification of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations in recent years, as evidenced by the dynamics of mutual visits at various levels.
The president emphasized that this has strengthened the relations of good-neighborliness, friendship, cooperation and mutual benefit between Kyrgyzstan and China.
He emphasized trade and economic interaction.
In particular, Sadyr Zhaparov noted a large and major Kyrgyz-Chinese joint project today - the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad, which will be an important link in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the transport and logistics sector. Cooperation with China in the field of energy is also very promising, given the common border, including the attraction of Chinese investment in the implementation of renewable energy projects.
In turn, Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for the warm reception of the Chinese delegation, expressing hope that this official visit will strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation and good-neighborly relations.
Li Qiang dwelt on the meeting of the leaders of the two countries within the framework of Sadyr Zhaparov's last visit to China, as a result of which the bilateral cooperation was brought to a new level. This is of significant importance and a clear benchmark in further Kyrgyz-Chinese relations.
Li Qiang emphasized that China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Kyrgyzstan, expressing confidence that under the leadership of the two leaders effective Kyrgyz-Chinese strategic multidimensional cooperation will be built.
