President Zhaparov transfers new buses and cars to Jalal-Abad

Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2023 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov handed over new buses and cars to the city of Jalal-Abad on Thursday.

The handing over ceremony was held as part of the Kyrgyz leader's working visit to Jalal-Abad Oblast.

The passenger transport fleet of Jalal-Abad has been renewed with 50 new buses, which will soon go on the line, as well as the car fleets of the provincial Department of Internal Affairs and the court are replenished with new vehicles for more efficient and effective work of employees.

In his speech, the president noted that today is one of the significant days for the entire Jalal-Abad Oblast - exactly 146 years have passed since the founding of the city of Jalal-Abad, which is the capital of the region.

"We aim to bring the major cities of the seven oblasts, starting with the country's capital, up to the level of matching the status of cities. We hope that people who come to the city centers will admire the beauty and local culture. In my previous visit, I spoke about the approval of a special plan to turn the city of Jalal-Abad into a major economic center. KGS 2 billion have been allocated for this purpose. With the allocation of such a large amount of funds, many changes and construction works are underway in your city. We all witness how internal roads of Jalal-Abad city are being repaired and comfortable conditions for our population are being created," Zhaparov noted.

In this context, the president of Kyrgyzstan said that in honor of today's holiday 50 new buses were handed over from the Cabinet of Ministers of the country for the population of the city.

"It is important to take into account that public transportation is of great importance in the social and economic development of the region. That is why this year we started to upgrade public transportation, which is an everyday necessity for hundreds of thousands of citizens," he noted.

President Zhaparov also emphasized that within the framework of today's event, new cars were handed over to the Jalal-Abad Regional Court and the Department of Internal Affairs of the region.

In conclusion, Sadyr Zhaparov once again congratulated the citizens on the City Day, wishing the capital of Jalal-Abad Oblast prosperity and well-being.
