Bishkek, Dec.4, 2024. /Kabar/. The official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to the Republic of Korea, which took place on Dec. 2-4f, has ended.

As part of the visit, the Kyrgyz president took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the National Memorial in Seoul, his press service said.

Sadyr Zhaparov honored the memory of the heroes who died for the independence of Korea and left a note in the book of Honorable Guests.

Then, the Kyrgyz president held talks with his Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol in an extended format.

The issues of progressive deepening of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea in areas of mutual interest were discussed.

Following the talks, 22 bilateral documents aimed at enhancing Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation were signed.

On the same day, Sadyr Zhaparov met with Speaker of the Korean Parliament Woo Won-shik.

The parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres, expanding inter-parliamentary ties, as well as the prospects of implementing joint projects in the field of investment, technology and tourism.

The Kyrgyz president also held a meeting with President of the Assembly and Chairman of the Board of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

They discussed the issues of climate change, sustainable use of natural resources, as well as prospects for cooperation in the introduction of innovative environmental technologies.

On Dec. 4, Zhaparov took part in the Investment Dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.

In his speech, the president spoke in detail about the reforms underway in Kyrgyzstan aimed at modernizing public administration, creating a favorable investment climate and digitalization.

During the event, the participants were presented with a video and a presentation on investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan. Then the businessmen addressed questions to the members of the Kyrgyz delegation, followed by a ceremony of exchange of bilateral documents.

President Sadyr Zhaparov invited representatives of Korean business to visit Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the country's openness to international cooperation and new opportunities for investors.

Having completed the official visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on Dec. 4.
