President Zhaparov's official visit to Turkmenistan concluded

Bishkek, June 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov paid on June 27-28 an official visit to Turkmenistan.

On the first day of his official visit, the Kyrgyz leader visited the Mausoleum of first President Saparmurat Niyazov and the mosque "Turkmenbashynin Ruhy Metjidi" (Turkmenbashi Mosque of Spirituality).

Further, President Zhaparov laid a wreath at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan and planted there a tree in the Alley of Honorary Guests.

At the same time, the Kyrgyz president toured an exhibition of Turkmen exports and took part in the opening of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Economic Forum, during which a number of agreements on cooperation in various spheres were signed between the business communities of the two countries.

On the second day of the official visit, Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

The leaders discussed current areas and prospects of bilateral cooperation in narrow and extended formats.

Following the talks, the two presidents signed a joint statement. In addition, members of official delegations of the two countries signed a number of documents aimed at enhancing the Kyrgyz-Turkmen cooperation in trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian, educational and other spheres.

Today, June 28, after completing an official visit to Turkmenistan, Sadyr Japarov left for Tajik capital city of Dushanbe for an official visit.
