Sadyr Zhaparov’s working visit to France over

Bishkek, July 28, 2024 . / Kabar / . The working visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to France on July 25-27 has ended.

On the first day of the visit, the head of state took part in the work of the summit "Sport for Sustainable Development. Faster, higher, stronger - together for a better future".

The aim of the summit was to mobilize efforts based on the conviction that sport is an important driver of sustainable development and aimed at setting a new course for sporting events with a focus on heritage, impact and sustainability.

On the second day of his working visit, Zhaparov visited the new building of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in France.

On the instructions of the Kyrgyz leader in January this year, the Embassy moved to a new building, which was acquired in the ownership of the state. The new building of the diplomatic mission with an area of 320 square meters is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

Then the head of state took part in the official opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

Sadyr Zhaparov and his spouse Aigul Zhaparova were welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at the Elysee Palace.

The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games took place on the river Seine. 85 boats with delegations of countries sailed along the river past famous sights of Paris.

The state flag of Kyrgyzstan was held by Erlan Sherov and Elizaveta Pecherskikh. The guests of the ceremony, including leaders of foreign countries, representatives of foreign delegations and heads of international organizations, were shown an artistic performance demonstrating the culture of France.

The highlight of the event was the lighting of the Olympic flame.

The national team of Kyrgyzstan includes 16 athletes who will take part in five sports: wrestling, judo, swimming, athletics and boxing.

Having completed his working visit to France, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on July 27.
