Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2021. /Kabar/. According to preliminary results of the manual count of the voting results in the early presidential elections, candidate Sadyr Zhaparov is leading with 83.92%, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Central Election Commission said.
As of 10:50 a.m. local time, protocols of 1,837 out of 2,474 polling stations, or 74.25% were processed.
According to preliminary counts from automatic ballot boxes, presidential candidate Zhaparov is also the leader with 79.20% of votes.
Currently, 2,425 ballots out of 2,474, or 98.02%, have been processed.
In total, according to the preliminary data, 1 million 410 thousand 50 people took part in the elections, which is 39.57% of the total number of voters.
Kyrgyzstan held on Sunday the early presidential elections and the referendum on the form of government.
A total of 17 candidates run for the post of President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
