Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Aug. 31, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, Vladimir Putin congratulated Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Kyrgyz people on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the phone talk, the two presidents also discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including in the framework of international organizations and integration associations that are of interest to both countries.
An importance to continue activities under the consolidated program of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, taking into account the current epidemiological situation in the two countries was noted.
Besides, the sides stressed that relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
President Jeenbekov expressed gratitude to the Russian leader for humanitarian assistance being provided in combating the spread of coronavirus infection, as well as for the timely deployment of a team of medical specialists, which helped stabilize the epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, on Aug. 31, 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent a congratulatory message on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
