South Korean president, Japanese PM send congratulations to Kyrgyzstan’s Zhaparov

Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2021. /Kabar/. President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga extended their congratulations to Sadyr Zhaparov on taking the office as President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that the Korean president message says:

"The Republic of Korea and the Kyrgyz Republic have been developing friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. In particular, the official visit of South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon in July 2019 served as an occasion to strengthen practical cooperation between our countries.

I appreciate that despite the difficult situation related to COVID-19 last year, South Korea and Kyrgyzstan made joint efforts in the fight against the pandemic. I expect that we will continue to cooperate closely in the future.

I wish you good health, prosperity, and endless development to the Kyrgyz Republic”.

Following is the text of Japanese PM Yoshihide Suga’s congratulatory message:

"I would like to express my hope that together with you we will work to further develop the friendly and good relations between the two countries built over a long period since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kyrgyz Republic in 1992.

In addition, Japan intends to continue to cooperate closely with Kyrgyzstan, including within the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, thereby contributing to the stability and development of the Central Asian region.

The Japanese PM wished Sadyr Zhaparov good health, further success in activities, and prosperity to the people of Kyrgyzstan.
