Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, as part of the events of the High-Level Week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, held in New York (USA), met with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.
The leaders of the countries discussed the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, as well as current issues on the international agenda.
Sadyr Zhaparov focused on the development of Kyrgyz-Finnish relations in all priority areas of cooperation, expressing interest in deepening joint interaction.
During the conversation, the president of Kyrgyzstan also invited the Finnish side to establish cooperation in the field of green energy.
In turn, the president of Finland confirmed his readiness to develop bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.
In addition, Sauli Niinistö noted the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic in order to develop economic and business relations between the two countries.
The leaders of the countries also exchanged views on issues of regional and international security.
The sides, despite the geographical distance of the two countries, outlined their readiness to intensify contacts for further cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Finland.
