Bishkek, June 11, 2020. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working visits to the country's regions. On June 10-11, the Kyrgyz leader paid two-day working trip to the city of Osh and Aravan region of Osh Oblast
According to the President’s press service, today, June 11 Sooronbay Jeenbekov got acquainted with the implementation of projects to expand irrigation networks and provide clean drinking water in Aravan region.
Their implementation will allow improving water supply on 2654 hectares of land, significantly reducing annual water losses, providing access to clean drinking water for about three thousand residents of Kerkidan and Esenbai villages of Aravan region, and Kur-Tash and Karimberdi villages of Nookat region.
Jeenbekov also toured a large export-oriented fruit and berry orchard with the potential to employ up to a thousand people during the harvest season, and familiarized himself with the activities of Kholbekov Akbarali farm in Aravan region.
The President expressed gratitude to the entrepreneurs for their creative work. He once again emphasized that Kyrgyzstan, thanks to environmentally friendly agricultural products, has the opportunity to take leading positions in foreign markets, and noted the special importance of support for entrepreneurs in the regions to increase the export potential of the country.
At the end of the working trip, Jeenbekov talked with the residents of Aravan region, told them about the state policy on regional development, support for the processing sector, export potential of regions, digitalization of the country, measures to strengthen friendly relations with neighboring countries.
