Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held on Thursday a press conference for media representatives.
According to the Kyrgyz president’s press service, during the press conference Zhaparov answered a wide range of questions from economy to foreign policy that were asked by national and foreign journalists.
The acting president told about plans to reform the state structures, refuted the rumors about the transfer of natural resources as external debt repayment, and noted his openness to cooperation with all political forces for the sake of unity and development of the country.
He added that much work is being done to create conditions for attracting and supporting investors.
Also, issues related to constitutional reform, measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection, preparation for the autumn-winter period, as well as the fight against corruption and the "shadow" economy were raised during the press conference.
Sadyr Zhaparov assured that he does not accept political persecution of opponents and pressure on journalists, and called on the mass media to objectively cover the events in the country and openly publish the facts of using administrative resources and bribing voters in the upcoming presidential elections.
The acting president of Kyrgyzstan managed to answer the questions of 35 journalists.
The press conference was broadcast live by the Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation and other republican TV channels.
