Bishkek, Jan.14, 2025. /Kabar/. In January-December 2024 (compared to December of the previous year), the growth of consumer prices and tariffs in the whole country amounted to 6.3%, Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Baktybek Kudaibergenov said at a briefing in Bishkek on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 11.4%, non-food products - by 5.1%, food products and non-alcoholic beverages - by 5.4%, tariffs for services provided to the population - by 8.1%.
Kudaibergenov added that in December 2024 compared to December of the previous year, the growth of consumer prices and tariffs was recorded in all regions of the country.
“Maximum increase was observed in Issyk-Kul Oblast (+7.7%), which is due to the largest increase in prices compared to other regions for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 15.1% and tariffs for services by 10.7%.
The maximum increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages by 6.7% was recorded in Bishkek, and for non-food products by 8% - in the city of Osh,” the head of the Statistical Committee added.
