In January-October of this year (compared to December of the previous year), the increase in consumer prices and tariffs in the country amounted as a whole to 7.9%, Chinara Turdubaeva, the head of the department of consolidated work, communications and information dissemination of the National Statistical Committee told at a press conference.
She said that at the same time, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 10.3%, food products and non-alcoholic beverages - by 9.4%, non-food products - by 8.2%, tariffs for services rendered to the population - by 1.9%.
She noted that the increase in consumer prices and tariffs for the reporting period was observed in all regions of the country. "At the same time, the maximum increase in prices by 11.2% was recorded in Batken region, which is due to the largest increase in prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in comparison with other regions - by 15.5%," she said.
