Prices for vegetable oils increased one and a half times in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 . / Kabar / . Retail prices of vegetable oil in Kyrgyzstan have increased by an average of 45.7% for the year compared to last October, the National Statistics Committee reported Thursday.

The retail prices of sunflower oil averaged KGS 173.98 per kg and increased by 42.2% compared to last October, while cotton oil prices stood at KGS 179.25 per kg and increased by 48.4%.

The highest retail prices for sunflower oil were observed in Kara-Suu town, Osh Oblast (KGS 184.61 per kg). The lowest prices were recorded in Pokrovka village, Talas Oblast – KGS 156.36 per kg.

The highest increase in prices for sunflower oil compared to the previous month was recorded in Nookat, Osh Oblast - 1.8 times, in the village. Pokrovka and the towns of Naryn and Kerben - 1.6 times.

Retail prices for cotton oil exceeded the average national indicator in Tokmok city, Chui Oblast – KGS 196.16 per kg, and the lowest prices were registered in Pokrovka village, Talas Oblast – KGS 154.92 per kg.

The maximum increase in prices for cotton oil in October compared to the corresponding month of the last year was recorded in Kerben, Jalal-Abad Oblast (1.9 times), Nookat, Uzgen and Pokrovka - 1.8 times.
