Prime Minister and investors gave start to construction of perinatal center in Bishkek

Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2017. /Kabar/. A capsule was laid today in Bishkek to build a new building of the perinatal center in the maternity hospital of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health Protection.

The opening ceremony of the construction and the solemn laying of the capsule was held with the participation of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Batyraliev, and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kyrgyz Republic Peter Rudolf Scholz and Regional Director of the German Development Bank (KfW) Olaf Zimelki.

The honorary guests of the ceremony made welcoming speeches and noted that the construction of this center is of great importance for Kyrgyzstan. In turn, the head of the Cabinet expressed gratitude to the German side for the provided support and cooperation.

At the end of the speeches, the sides signed the Agreements between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Germany. The document was placed in a capsule, which was symbolically placed in the foundation of a new building and fixed properly.

Health Minister Batyraliev said that the construction of this facility is realized within the framework of the Protection of motherhood and childhood IV-V project. Financing of the project is stipulated by the Agreement between the German Development Bank and the Kyrgyz Republic represented by the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and approved by the Order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The perinatal center will be the first tertiary level health organization in the Kyrgyz Republic, built according to international standards and equipped with the latest medical equipment.
