Bishkek, Feb. 6 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Zheenbekov received Chairman of the State Migration Service Medetbek Aidaraliev, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports.
Aidaraliev spoke about current activities, future plans and challenges facing the agency, the main problems of internal and external migration.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to continue the work to protect the rights and improve the situation of migrant workers in close cooperation with other relevant ministries and agencies, diaspora of compatriots abroad.
The Prime Minister instructed to continue to work actively to withdrew Kyrgyz citizens from the list of persons whose entry into the Russian Federation is prohibited.
Aidaraliev said that, they conducted a detailed analysis of the activities of the State Migration Service, with a view to improve the legislative framework, and improve the situation of domestic migrant workers. To this end, also held a series of meetings with migrant workers, representatives of Kyrgyz diaspora in neighboring countries.
The chairman of the State Service said that today one of the main problems of compatriots working abroad is the lack of awareness of the rights of migrant workers and migration legislation.
For these purposes,the State Migration Service is working on the creation of an information directory that includes all the necessary information about the rights and the situation of migrant workers.
"Today there are more than 600 thousand labor migrants in Russia and more than 110 thousand of our compatriots in Kazakhstan," said Aidaraliev.
He stressed that the Kyrgyz side has completed the work on improving the legal framework for the provision of pensions of migrant workers in the EEU space.
