Bishkek, May 23, 2020 / Kabar/. Uzbekistan lifted restrictions on cement imports from Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held a telephone conversation with head of the government of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
During the conversation, topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, the situation in the republics on coronavirus infection, measures being taken to prevent its spread, as well as issues related to the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.
In addition, Abylgaziev expressed request to consider lifting the restrictions on cement imports introduced by the government of Uzbekistan for the period from May 1 to December 31, 2020.
In turn, taking into account the request of the Kyrgyz side, Abdulla Aripov signed a decree of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the resumption of the import of cement products into Uzbekistan from May 23, 2020.
In addition, the parties agreed to quickly exchange data on all pressing issues of bilateral cooperation. Currently, the supply of food and other goods imported from a neighboring country is carried out unhindered normally.
