Bishkek, Mar.3, 2020. /Kabar/. This year, 2 thousand 559 families received the Balaga Suyunchu (lump sum for child birth), the amount spent made KGS 10 million 374 thousand, representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
They added that 161 thousand 700 parents received financial assistance last year. About KGS 647 million were allocated.
As for the low-income citizens, 311 thousand 700 children receive monthly allowances. The average sum of payments is KGS 875 (about $ 13).
The Law on lump sum for child birth came into force on Jan.1, 2018.
The state provides KGS 4000 (about $57) for each infant.
