Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2024. / Kabar /. The opening of the Kyrgyz-Chinese center for trade and economic cooperation took place in the city of Xi'an (Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China).
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev and Governor of Shaanxi Province of China Zhao Gang, as well as heads of government agencies of the two countries.
The total area of the center is 1000 square meters. All conditions have been created there for holding exhibitions of products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan, obtaining information about the country, as well as for organizing bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs.
In addition, a 200-square-meter trade pavilion of Kyrgyzstan was opened in the center of Xi'an. Products of Kyrgyz manufacture will be permanently presented in the pavilion. The products will be sold not only offline, but also online, through applications such as Douyin, WeChat and Pingduoduo.
It is especially worth noting that the total area of 1,200 square meters was provided to Kyrgyzstan free of charge for three years by the Xi'an City Hall.
"This shopping center and pavilion will become an incentive for the development of trade between the two countries, and Chinese consumers will be able to get acquainted with the products of Kyrgyzstan. I express my gratitude to the Chinese side for this opportunity," said Bakyt Torobaev.
Then a business forum was held with the participation of the heads of delegations of both sides, in which representatives of more than 200 companies from Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province took part.
During the forum, representatives of state bodies of Kyrgyzstan and China in the field of economy, investment and tourism, as well as entrepreneurs made reports on investment opportunities in sectors such as industry, tourism, transport and agriculture, and presented their projects.
Following the forum, a number of investment agreements were signed between state bodies and entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan and China. Bakyt Torobaev also met with the head of the company "Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd" Zhang Wenqi, which operates in Kyrgyzstan. The parties discussed current issues of cooperation in the mining industry and proposed cooperation in the processing industry.
