Bishkek, July 12, 2022. /Kabar/. My Village project for the development of remote regions has completed its work in Kyrgyzstan, Good Neighbors International Branch in the republic said.
A closing ceremony was held together with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Government Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
My Village project is an international cooperation project between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea for the development of remote regions from 2018 to 2022, 30 villages in Osh, Batken and Chui Oblasts, which was successfully completed with the active participation of villagers.
The participating villages implemented projects in the first phase to improve living conditions, projects in the second phase to improve agricultural infrastructure, and projects in the third phase to improve income-generating activities by expanding agricultural production and marketing.
As a result, 33 facilities related to improvements in education, health care, transportation, water supply, and public welfare, as well as 39 facilities related to production and income generation in agriculture, animal husbandry, and other production facilities were provided, which improved access to basic services and production base for income generation for 9,826 households in rural areas of the Kyrgyz Republic.
