Prospects for co-op between Kyrgyzstan, German Academic Exchange Service discussed

Bishkek, Jan.13, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev met with Head of the regional office of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Central Asia Dr. Gisela Zimmermann.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Germany reported that the prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and DAAD were discussed during the meeting.

The ambassador emphasized the importance of this cooperation for Kyrgyzstan, noting that it opens wide opportunities for Kyrgyz students, graduate students and young scientists who can study and conduct research in Germany. The significant contribution of German universities to the professional development of teachers of Kyrgyz universities was also noted.

Dr. G. Zimmermann confirmed the intention to continue successful cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries, and also informed about the beginning of work of DAAD regional office in Bishkek in the near future.

The sides expressed readiness for further close cooperation.
