Prospects for cooperation in military field between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2018. / Kabar /. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan received Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdullah Ahmad Abdullah Saleh al Suleyti.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of cooperation in the military field between the Kyrgyz Republic and Qatar were discussed, the press service of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Welcoming the guests, the Chief of the General Staff stressed that the Kyrgyz side is interested in establishing cooperation in a wide range of areas.

The sides noted the intensification of bilateral contacts between the military departments of the two countries. For example, in early October, representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic visited Qatar to discuss issues of military-technical cooperation, as well as assist in developing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic in crisis situations.

In conclusion, the meeting participants also assured that they will continue to make every effort in order to successfully develop and expand ties between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar.
