Prospects for digitalization of public administration discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, Aug.26, 2019. /Kabar/. The State Personnel Service of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Civic Initiative of Internet Policy and the Astana Hub of Public Service in Bishkek held a workshop “Digital State as a basis for sustainable development”.

The workshop was held as part of the Alliance of e-Government Development Practitioners. This Alliance is a unique platform for exchange of experience in building e-government.

The Alliance, established in 2018, as participants includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The event presented the results of the implementation of advanced technologies in the field of digitalization of public administration in the countries of the Alliance.

State Personnel Service Acting Director Bakytbek Sagynbayev noted within the framework of the Decree of President of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Declaring 2019 the Year of Development of Regions and the Digitalization of the Country”, a comprehensive work is currently being done in Kyrgyzstan on the digitalization of the activities of state bodies and the introduction of advanced digital technologies in various spheres of life.

The seminar was also attended by Kanat Kadyrbekov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Hub of Public Service, Tattuu Mambetaliyeva, Director of the Civic Initiative of Internet Policy Public Foundation, Kubanychbek Shatemirov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications, international experts and officials in the field of digital solutions and e-government.
