Protection of rights and interests of Kyrgyzstanis in Turkey discussed

Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev met on Tuesday with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Yavuz Selim Kıran, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

In the course of the meeting, the sides debated issues of protection of rights and interests, as well as facilitation of rules of stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey. Ambassador Omuraliyev expressed a request to consider further simplification or abolition of the visa regime and work permits.

In connection with the ban in Turkey to go outside, the Kyrgyz ambassador asked for assistance in obtaining permission from the Turkish competent authorities for the movement of Kyrgyzstanis during the early presidential elections of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Referendum of Jan. 10, 2021.

"In order to protect the rights and interests of citizens of our country residing in Antalya Province and neighboring regions, Kubanychbek Omuraliyev expressed a request to accelerate the consideration of the issue of opening a consular office of Kyrgyzstan in Antalya,” the report says.
