Bishkek, April 8, 2021. / Kabar /. A protest action against violence is held today near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The action takes place because of the murder of Aizada Kanatbekova, who was kidnapped on April 5 for forced marriage.
The participants demand the resignation of the minister of internal affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the head of the Bishkek Municipal Department of Internal Affairs for negligence.
On April 5, the police received a call that three unknown men had kidnapped a girl in Bishkek. A case was initiated under article 175 (Abduction of a person for the purpose of marriage) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On April 7, Aizada was found dead outskirts of Bishkek in a field in a Honda Civic car, in which she was abducted. Also, her kidnapper was found dead next to her. According to preliminary data, the girl was strangled by the kidnapper, who later committed suicide by stabbing himself in the neck.
