Bishkek, March 3, 2020 / Kabar /. A protest action in support of convicted ex-deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament Sadyr Zhaparov is held on Ala-Too square in Bishkek.
According to the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, the police are operating as usual.
Sadyr Zhaparov was sentenced by the Supreme Court to 10 years in prison in a maximum security colony. He was found guilty under the article "Taking hostages". He organized a protest action in Karakol town of Issyk-Kul Oblast in 2013 and protesters captured then Governor of Issyk-Kul Oblast Emilbek Kaptagaev as hostage.
