Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2020 / Kabar /. The protesters, opposing the results of the parliamentary elections, freed former President Almazbek Atambayev from the State Committee for National Security. The video of Atambayev's release was published on social networks.
On Monday morning, supporters of parties that lost in the parliamentary elections began a protest actions in the center of Bishkek. The protesters demanded to cancel the election results. Out of 16 parties running in the elections, 4 were elected to the parliament.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the protesters had to be disperse the protesters with the help of special equipment due to the fact that “they aggressively started moving along Chui Avenue and tried to break the iron gates surrounding the Parliament building. They threw stones and tried to get through the gate."
According to data of the Ministry of Health, 122 people were hospitalized at midnight, who were injured during the clashes between police and protesters.
After 3 a.m., the protesters seized the White House, and then headed to the State Committee for National Security.
