Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2022 / Kabar /. The protocol signed with Tajikistan is temporary until the completion of the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border, the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The protocol was signed on September 25 of this year, following the results of negotiations between the heads State Committees for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev and Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov. Under the protocol the parties agreed to remove and henceforth not to deploy any types of border guard units in the areas of 4 border outposts - the Tamdyk (Kyrgyzstan) and Bedak (Tajikistan), Bulak-Bashi (Kyrgyzstan ) and Keh (Tajikistan), the posts Katta-Tuz (Kyrgyzstan) and Karakchikum (Tajikistan), the posts Ak-Sai in the area of Chaikhana (Kyrgyzstan) and Sharshara in the area of Khojai-Alo (Tajikistan) . The buildings and structures of these units will be mothballed.

The State Committee for National Security said that this protocol is temporary until the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan is completed. Currently, the protection of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in these areas is carried out by mobile border detachments of the parties, which will serve along the border, strictly along the routes indicated and agreed by the parties.

According to the signed protocol, the parties also undertake not to allow the border population of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan to be in these areas, which excludes the implementation of any economic and any other activity until the legal registration of the border is completed.

The relevant work of the commission of the parties on the delimitation and demarcation of the border continues.
