Bishkek, Feb. 25 / Kabar /. Public Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case against member of the Kyrgyz Parliament, leader of Ata-Meken party Omurbek Tekebayev on February 25, 2017. He is accused corruption and fraud, the Public Prosecutor’s Office reports.
This criminal case was opened on the basis of materials received from the State Committee for National Security.
Thus, the owner of a number of telecommunication companies of the Russian Federation L. Maevsky appealed the National Security Committee with a written statement about bringing to responsibility MP Tekebayev.
In his statement, he said that in 2010, Tekebayev, being a Deputy Chairman of the Provisional Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, received from him the one million US dollars, promising to create preferences for Maevsky: in the initial stage - his admission to the management of Alfa Telecom CJSC, and later the sale of shares of the cellular company for "kickback "in the amount of 10 to 15 percent of total sales and the provision of political patronage. Tekebayev did not fulfill his obligations and refused to give back the received money, threatening bodily harm in case of any claims and dissemination of information about this fait accompli.
Thus, Maevsky practically confirmed repeatedly and publicly voiced arguments of ex-deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, a former member of Ata-Meken political party Omurbek Abdrakhmanov, as well as the representative of the company "Penvel" Raushan Rykunova about complicity of Tekebayev and other persons close to him in various unlawful acts and manipulation associated with the shares of Alfa Telecom CJSC.
The investigation is underway.
