Bishkek, May 10, 2020 / Kabar/. Public transport will not resume work on May 11, First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov told on Sunday.

“So far, public transport will not work. Public transport is also one of the dangerous places of distribution of COVID-19. For this reason, we have authorized taxi services. The taxi drivers must also maintain all sanitary requirements, work in masks, gloves and not carry more than 2 passengers in salons. After all, we all know that taxi drivers can transport up to 100 people in one day. Taxi drivers should also be vigilant, responsible and conscious, and not endanger their lives and the lives of their passengers,” he said.

The first vice prime minister emphasized that citizens living in villages near the capital can be moved in a personal car, but only if necessary.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Health of the country Nurbolot Usenbaev told that the public transport will resume work in Kyrgyzstan on May 11.
