Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2021. /Kabar/. Being purchased coronavirus vaccine will be enough to vaccinate 20% of the population of Kyrgyzstan, Head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health Ainura Akmatova said during a briefing on Wednesday.
504 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will soon be delivered to Kyrgyzstan. The first batch of vaccine up to 40% will arrive in the first quarter and 60% in the second quarter. Vaccination will take place in three phases. The Ministry of Health has prepared a plan for staged immunization of the population, calculations are made and submitted to the Ministry of Finance.
"The vaccination program in Kyrgyzstan will cover 20% of the population," Akmatova said.
