Bishkek, Mar. 28, 2019. /Kabar/. The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is given special attention, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in the course of negotiations in an expanded format within his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The head of the Russian Federation thanked the Kygryz side for the invitation to come to Kyrgyzstan for a state visit.
“I am confident that our work will be useful and contribute to the further development of the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The trade and economic sphere is given special attention. I would like to note that there is a positive trend here, the volumes are constantly increasing. We observed a good effect when Kyrgyzstan joined the EAEU. The trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU is constantly growing. And bilaterally, too,” he said.
Putin highlighted cooperation in the field of education and recalled that there is a large delegation of representatives of Russian universities in Kyrgyzstan.
He also stressed that a large group of the leaders of the Russian regions had arrived.
“Colleagues from 18 regions came to meet here with their partners. A representative delegation of business circles arrived - more than 200 Russian businessmen - to see the possibilities of work and expansion in Kyrgyzstan,” the President of Russia said.
In addition, Putin noted that cooperation was established between the military departments.
“I am confident that this cooperation will continue. Continue not only in the multilateral format of the CSTO, but also on a bilateral basis in supply of military equipment, weapons, training of specialists, including in Russian universities. We have a large amount of cooperation in almost all areas, including our coordination of efforts in the international arena. I would like to thank you for the attention you paid to interaction with Russia. I would like to express the hope that our cooperation in alliance and partnership will continue in the same direction as in the near and at least in the medium term,” he said.
