Putin to Jeenbekov: Thanks to your efforts there is a peaceful, stable environment in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Mar. 28, 2019. /Kabar/. “Thanks to your efforts there is a peaceful, stable environment in Kyrgyzstan,” Russian President Vladimir Putin told during his talks with head of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov in a narrow format.

Jeenbekov warmly welcomed his Russian counterpart and expressed his gratitude for coming to Kyrgyzstan for a state visit, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.

In turn, the Russian President expressed gratitude to Jeenbekov for the invitation and recalled their recent meeting.

“We then talked about current problems, it's nice that today we can resume our dialogue. Kyrgyzstan is our reliable ally and strategic partner. We have worked and will continue to work bilaterally and on international platforms. We just talked about the fact that Kyrgyzstan will soon reeive a major international organization, this is a big international event - the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. I am sure that it will be held at a high level. I would like to especially note that thanks to your efforts there is a peaceful, stable environment in Kyrgyzstan that makes it possible to resolve issues of a socio-economic nature,” Putin said.

Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a state visit for the first time.
