Qatari businessmen offered to invest in hydropower industry of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 3, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Qatar Nurlan Niyazaliev met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatari Nebras Power energy company Fahad Hamad Al-Mohnanadi and Nebras Power Chief Executive Officer Khalid Jolo, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to the information, during the meeting the sides discussed the further enhancing of the Kyrgyz-Qatar cooperation on priority areas for the two states.

In particular, Nuran Niyazaliev, noting the great hydropower potential of the republic and promising projects in this area, as well as the agreements on electricity export within the framework of international agreements, suggested Nebras Power to consider the possibility of close cooperation in implementing joint investment projects.
