Bishkek, Dec.25, 2024. /Kabar/. Bishkek hosted a meeting between Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Boobek Azhikeyev and General Director of the branch of Qatar Charity Abdekarim Alimam Albasheir.
The press service of the Emergency Situations reported that during the meeting the sides discussed the issue of transfer of humanitarian cargo in the amount of USD 211,732, which was delivered to Kyrgyzstan to help victims of the emergency.
The humanitarian cargo includes bottles with filters, water filters, kitchen sets, school desks and chairs, women's jackets, sewing machines, electric wheelchair, camping lamps, tents, children's sweatshirts, blankets, camping heaters, cargo tricycles and mills.
Boobek Azhikeyev noted that these items will provide invaluable assistance in restoring the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
In turn, Abdekarim Alimam Albasheir expressed deep gratitude to the Emergency Ministry for assistance in the successful delivery of the cargo, as well as for providing a warehouse for storage of humanitarian goods, noting the importance of assistance to the population affected by natural disasters and emergencies.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to continue cooperation in the framework of assistance to those affected by natural disasters, providing the necessary equipment and facilities to minimize the consequences of emergencies.
