Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2022 . / Kabar /. A green zone will be built in the western part of Bishkek at the expense of the Chinese city of Qingdao, the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office said Tuesday.
Following the working visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to China, an agreement was reached to allocate funds to the Kyrgyz capital.
Qingdao Municipal People’s Government allocated CNY 600 thousand for the improvement of the western entrance zone. The funds will be used to create a square and increase green areas along Deng Xiaoping Avenue from Alykulov Street to Kustanaiskaya Street.
On Dec. 22, 2021 the municipalities of Bishkek and Qingdao signed a Memorandum of establishing twinning relations.
Earlier, it was reported that the western gate of Bishkek is planned to ennoble in the Chinese style.
