Bishkek, Apr.5, 2020. /Kabar/. The quarantine area in Bishkek has been expanded to continue disinfection activities, Capital’s Commandant and Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliyev said during a briefing.
He said the quarantine zone will be confined in the south direction - to the South Highway, in the north direction - to the Big Chui Canal, in the east - to Valikhanov Street, in the west - to Sadyrbayev Street.
"The new section will be closed for the passage of citizens and cars. The previously closed parts of the capital remains closed, as disinfection activities will continue. I ask citizens not to go out on the streets without urgent necessity. Now the incubation period is over for those who have had contact with the diseased,” the commandant added.
The quarantine area in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek was created on March 26.
From March 25 to April 15, a state of emergency is in force in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and in Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.
Movement for all citizens, except for those who are issued with a pass, namely internal affairs officers and medical and civil servants, is limited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (night time). A curfew is established.
