Bishkek, July 26, 2019. /Kabar/. We have completed the process of ratification of the agreement on opening a Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Kosmosbek Cholponbayev said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said the construction of the hospital is finished, the process of equipping is under way. “The agreement on our part has been ratified and has already been signed. Now, we are waiting for the Turkish side to complete the ratification process, the financing will start. We still hope to open the hospital for patients this year,” Cholponbayev added.
Within the framework of the Agreement, the State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship with a capacity of 72 beds (including 21 beds in the intensive care unit) will be opened in Bishkek to provide medical services to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to citizens of other countries and stateless persons, who have applied for medical assistance.
The Hospital will be jointly operated by the Parties in the next 3 years. After the completion of this period the management of the Hospital will be transferred to the Kyrgyz side. The Turkish Ministry of Health will monitor and coordinate activities in the next 3 years.
