Rating of world’s happiest countries – which place Kyrgyzstan holds?

Bishkek, Mar. 20, 2019. /Kabar/. In the ranking of the happiest countries in the world, Kyrgyzstan took 86th place, moving 6 positions up from 92nd in 2018. This assessment was given by researchers of the World Happiness Report.

The rating results were published today, March 20, on the official website of the resource http://worldhappiness.report/ed/2019/. In total, the report evaluates 156 countries of the world and takes into account such indicators as life expectancy, social support, corruption, and others. The report was compiled by request of the UN, for the first time such study was released in 2012.

For the second year in a row Finland tops the ranking. Denmark, Norway, Iceland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada, and Austria were also named the happiest countries.

The most unhappy countries are South Sudan (last, 156th place), Central African Republic (155th place), Afghanistan (154), Tanzania (153), Rwanda (152), Yemen (151), Malawi (150).

Of the nearest neighbors of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan is in the leading position, taking 41st place. According to the researchers, Kazakhstan is ranked 60th, Tajikistan – 74th, China – 93rd. Russia holds the 68th position and Turkmenistan – 87th.
