Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2020 /Kabar/. Today, Aug. 21 Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akram Madumarov presided over a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for assistance to electoral commissions in addressing issues in dealing with organizational issues and logistics of the election.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, in the course of the meeting Chairwoman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendum of the republic Nurzhan Shaildabekova made a report on the progress of preparatory works.
Chairman of the State Registration Service under the Government Akyn Mambetaliyev and Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev also presented information on the work being done.
Deputy PM Madumarov noted the polling stations are provided with material-technical base and the work continues.
"The preparation of all the polling stations for the election is well under way, the corresponding logistics is ready. Profile state bodies carry out work on biometric registration of citizens for participation in voting. In addition, the process of refining the voter lists is continuing. One of the important issues that local authorities need to work on is the installation of ramps in institutions where polling stations are located. I request that special attention be paid to this issue. In the conditions of the pandemic, all participants of the electoral process should pay great attention to compliance with sanitary safety standards, “ Akram Madumarov stressed.
At the end of the HQ meeting, a number of instructions were given to local authorities and state bodies, including to intensify work on biometric registration of Kyrgyzstanis in the country and abroad.
Kyrgyzstan’s parliamentary election is set for Oct. 4, 2020 .
