Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . A reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
The event was attended by members of the Kazakh Parliament, representatives of state bodies of Kazakhstan, ambassadors accredited in Nur-Sultan, heads of international and public organizations, business structures, students from Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Kazakhstan.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan Dastan Dyushekeyev and Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev made welcoming speeches.
In his speech, Dyushekeyev spoke about Kyrgyzstan and the development of bilateral relations with Kazakhstan during the years of independence, and gave examples of successful interaction between the parties in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
He noted that the neighboring brotherly country Kazakhstan was among the first to recognize Kyrgyzstan's independence and that Kazakhstan is a close neighbor, a loyal friend, strategic partner and ally.
In turn, Torebayev warmly congratulated the Kyrgyz people on the anniversary of independence of the republic and noted that during this historically short period, Kyrgyzstan has achieved significant results in strengthening statehood, improving the well-being of citizens. Kazakhstan is strongly interested in strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance with Kyrgyzstan.
The event included a photo exhibition reflecting the history and culture of Kyrgyzstan, and videos about the country and its tourism potential.
