Bishkek, Feb.7, 2018 / Kabar /. Knitted "octopuses" help in the rehabilitation of premature babies, the National Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Red Crescent said that the volunteers of the club 28 Loops turned them and offered to sew knitted things for premature babies.
Reportedly, these octopuses before putting into infant incubator are given to a mother, she wears it in her bosom for a while, so that it absorbs the maternal smell thus calms a baby.
"The main thing in these toys is the tentacles. The tentacles of the "octopus" resemble an umbilical cord, the baby holds on to them and quickly goes on to recover. Without such toys, babies often pull themselves out of drip bulbs, often mixing up dropping tubes with the umbilical cord," the Red Crescent reported.
Soon grandmothers will visit the maternity homes with knitted "octopuses".
