Bishkek, Dec.8, 2025. /Kabar/. The Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan held an important meeting with the participation of suppliers of plant protection products.
In the course of the meeting, issues of importing pesticides, ensuring domestic demand for plant protection products, as well as regulating their use to improve the efficiency of agricultural production were discussed, the press service of the Agriculture Ministry reported.
One of the key topics was the reduction of the use of highly hazardous pesticides. The meeting participants noted that in the future it is planned to introduce restrictions on such substances with their subsequent phased ban.
The meeting also considered plans for interaction between state structures and private companies to minimize possible risks and improve the system of control over import and use of pesticides.
The Department will continue to work on improving coordination with suppliers in order to provide the agricultural sector with the necessary plant protection products, contributing to the sustainable development of the country's agro-industrial complex.
