Reforms aimed at development of country will be continued, President

Bishkek, Jan.20, 2020. /Kabar/. A solemn ceremony of presenting state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking place at the Ala-Archa state residence with participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

The President noted the country spent the past year with dignity. Priorities have been defined, ambitious goals set for the coming year.

"Of course, we are facing a lot of tasks that need to be solved. Reforms, aimed at the development of the country and improvement of living conditions of the people will continue. The issue of regional development, digitalization of the country, implementation of judicial and legal reform and fight against corruption remain priorities," Jeenbekov said.

He also noted this year special attention will be paid to support to children.

"Our ancestors have built and left us a society where the elders are always respected, orphans are cared for and where kindness is the basic rule of relations. Unfortunately, family violence has become more frequent in the present time. Children and the elderly are left without care and guardianship. With this in mind, this year has been declared the Year of Support for Children. Our goal is to work together to preserve and strengthen native national values," the President said.

The Kyrgyz leader emphasized that raising the country's economy and improving living conditions is one of the key areas of the state's activity.

"The support of hardworking and talented citizens like you is necessary to achieve these goals.

The main necessary factor for achieving success is the preservation of unity and inter-ethnic harmony among the people," the President concluded.

The decree on awarding for significant contribution to the development of social and economic, intellectual and cultural potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and great achievements in professional activity was signed on Dec.30, 2019.

State awards are conferred on public figures, representatives of the fields of culture, education and science, health care, public administration, agriculture, construction, etc., for their significant contribution to the development of the social, economic, intellectual and cultural potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and great achievements in their professional activity.
